Training Opportunities

img_0419_3.jpg
We offer Afterschool Universe training workshops throughout the year, in locations around the United States. After training, we provide leaders with resources to run the program in their communities — including a manual, downloadable files, worksheets and evaluation forms, posters, and a mini kit with some of the program's materials that are only available from specialized suppliers. We will also provide a NASA certificate of completion for those who participate in our training.

  • Upcoming Training Workshops:

    • NEW! We are offering a training workshop at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida Oct. 1-2. Register here (check the box for the Afterschool Universe workshop only and say "N/A" for the questions that do not apply).
    • Training workshops are also being offered in New York State through a partnership with the Department of Astronomy at Cornell University. Please contact Nancy Schaff if you are interested in arranging or attending training workshops in New York State.

Don't see any training workshops listed that you are able to attend? Let us know if you would like to have a workshop held in your region! You can also join our mailing list to receive updates about available training opportunities.

We will make special exceptions for those who can demonstrate a compelling reason for why our training is not necessary. If you wish to apply for a waiver from training, please complete this form.

Training workshops are contingent on sufficient registration numbers. Dates subject to change.
A list of our previous trainings and workshop presentations is available here.
